Mongolia
Dear Brethren,
We would like to let you know of a need in the work in Mongolia. You are our prayer partners and have on many occasions gone to the LORD on our behalf. We are there again, in need of your prayers.
Most of you have followed the work of God in Mongolia and you know how He has greatly blessed. The Rich Heart Baptist Church has grown from that original 9 to over 100 today. The Rich Heart Church has organized two churches and a mission. Since 2006 the number of members in all of our churches has doubled. We have a Bible Institute that is just finishing its sixth year. We have three Mongolian pastors and more being trained. We are working full time on the translation of the King James Bible into Mongolian God is continually adding new members to His churches. With all of this growth the need for solid teaching in God word can seem almost overwhelming.
Over the years we have diligently worked at keeping you informed of all the blessings. It is only right to also keep you informed of the difficulties. For most of the past 19 months our support has not covered our expenses. God had given us a surplus and we have been drawing on this to meet our needs. But if we proceed as we have this past year and a half we will not be able to continue with some of the work that we believe the Lord has lead us to do. At this current rate we have about eight months before we will no longer be able to afford the translation team that is working on the Bible translation.
We understand the current practice of missionaries in need of more support. They will leave the field and return to the states to visit churches personally. We have done this in the past and loved traveling across the great USA, meeting new people and telling churches of all that God is doing here. We miss America’s sights, sounds and food and would love that extended visit. We made the decision to do this but after making that decision it brought no peace. We sincerely believe that God called us to Mongolia and our work is here. We (to use a good Bible term) beseech you to take this matter to God in prayer. We realize that many of you are doing all you possibly can to support this work. If at any time you have felt the desire to be a part of the work in Mongolia, we ask you to consider it again. The work on this Bible translation is something that will have an impact on an entire nation. There are not many places in the world that that can be said. Our desire is for the Lord’s will be done and His work continue.
